Pilots of Lanark County Unite! And that is exactly what we did on Thursday, May 1, at the Thirsty Moose in downtown Carleton Place. Treff Peters shared the exciting news that our fleet will welcome a new Trishaw in July!

There was also talk of getting T-Shirts and/or ball caps with the CWA logo on them. Pilots would be encouraged to wear the attire on or off duty to help promote the program. If anyone has ideas or contacts in the community, please feel free to share them with Dee Stuart or Catherine Cosstick.

Treff and Catherine provided Trishaw rides to couples, families and friends who were grateful for the opportunity to sit down after walking around the market area and exploring the different venues. We encouraged a couple of avid cyclists (and potential pilots) to try out the Trishaw for themselves.

Now that Spring has Sprung, certified pilots are encouraged to use the scheduler for weekly, biweekly or monthly rides with the Stoneridge Manor residents. If you’re interested in starting the season with a short refresher course, please contact Treff at 613 257-2892 to make arrangements. New pilot trainees are always wanted and are encouraged to contact Treff and Mark for a pilot training session. Be sure to review the training modules on the CWALC website (https://cwalc.org/) ahead of time.

Last but not Least, we welcome Mayu Patel, the new Director of Care at Stoneridge Manor, and look forward to introducing her to CWA Lanark County.
See you on the trails,
Catherine Cosstick
