Treff Peters

After retiring from a long career in sales and various entrepreneurial endeavours, Treff Peters started “Young at Heart Seniors”, a group with over one hundred subscribers that meet weekly for various outdoor activities including hiking, cycling, skiing and kayaking. Treff is also an active member of the Perth Men’s Shed group.

In the 1980s as a volunteer for the Rotary Club of Renfrew, Treff visited a gentleman in a seniors’ home that had not received a visitor in over 10 years. He was deeply touched at the reality that some of these people who were not receiving visitors had family members living in their local area.  After learning about the Cycling Without Age (CWA) movement and understanding the benefits of people experiencing outdoor activities together, Treff decided to launch a CWA chapter in Lanark County.

Treff and his wife Myrna (also an outdoors enthusiast) live in Beckwith Township.

Mark Manzon

Mark Manzon has had a successful 40-year career in the automotive industry. As an avid cyclist himself, Mark is well aware of the health and social benefits of the sport and quickly decided to lend his support to the Lanark County Cycling Without Age initiative.

Mark is currently using his network of business contacts to garner financial support and publicity for the launch. When fully retired, Mark hopes to volunteer in his community – including being a pilot for Cycling Without Age.

Mark and his wife Carol reside in Beckwith Township and have one child and a grandchild.
