Thanks to generous sponsorships from Asbury Free Methodist Church, Shoppers Drug Mart and Storm Internet we have met and exceeded our fundraising goal! These sponsors, along with several other community-minded local businesses and private individuals have made it possible to purchase our first Trishaw. The Trishaw is currently on order and we are eagerly awaiting its arrival!
This fall and over the winter we are planning to recruit and train Trishaw pilots in preparations for the 2021 cycling season. Since the Trishaw is electrically assisted it does not take much physical strength to pilot a trishaw – all age groups from teenagers through active seniors can become pilots. All it takes is a commitment to make a difference in the lives of our elderly citizens.
