We are pleased to announce that Chris Mellor has joined the Cycling Without Age Lanark County team as the Carleton Place Captain. A local teacher and long-time resident, Chris brings a wealth of experience in video production and news to the team. Chris’ skills are very important at this time as we develop our pilot training program in preparation for the 2021 cycling season.
“I was looking for an opportunity to give back to the community while doing the things I love. I really appreciate the chance to join this team on the ground level,” says Chris.
Chris is an elementary teacher in Carleton Place with 8 years’ experience teaching everything from kindergarten to grade 8. He is a gigging musician with a regular spot at the Ashton Brewing Company Sunday open mic. Chris lives and cycles in Carleton Place with his wife and two kids. He is looking forward to taking local Carleton Place seniors for a spin in the trishaw.
