CWALC Participated in the Santa Claus Parade

On November 25, 2023, Cycling Without Age Lanark County joined in on the fun in the Carleton Place Christmas Parade!

CWALC took their place among the many colourful floats to “Trishaw” their way through the lined streets of downtown Carleton Place. Treff Peters, founder of the CWA Lanark Chapter, albeit The Blue Beetle at the parade, pulled the lit-up CWA trailer with his ATV (see middle photo), while Mark Manzon, Treff’s second in command, who was Iron Man for the parade, was pilot for trishaw passenger Brenda Hunt (see photo on the right). Brenda is a loyal volunteer with CWALC. Superhero Pilot Catherine Cosstick talked to parade attendees along the route (middle photo).

CWALC participation in this year’s parade was supported by (Pilot) Wendy Romberg at Exit Realty Vision,
where a second CWA trailer was on display. Brass musicians Margus Aruja, Martin Guibord, Pam Holtz,
Doug Doubt under maestro Adrian Cosstick were on the spot to serenade crowds while they waited for the floats (see first photo). Cheerful CWA volunteers Dee Stuart and Lorraine Fretts chatted up passersby with information and championed involvement with Cycling Without Age Lanark County.
